Topic and Article Descriptions

The description is only visible if the topic type for the content source page is set to ‘tiles’ in the theme editor, or if you’re using pinned pages.

By default, articles in your site use the first lines of content in your parent page to display a tile description. You can also use the Confluence Excerpt macro to customise these descriptions.

The information that is displayed about your content source on the content source page varies depending on your layout choice. Learn more about the different content source page layout options (‘Hero’, ‘Detail’ and ‘Article’).
