Previews in the app don't show images

Symptom

The theme preview or article preview in the app don’t show images included on the Confluence page. Instead, the preview displays a broken image icon where the images should show.

Both the underlying Confluence page as well as the live site show all images as expected.

Explanation

To show your theme and article previews we request data (e.g. images) from Confluence. If you have blocked third-party cookies in your browser, the app will not be able to fetch and display this data in your preview.

Resolution

If you have configured your browser to block third-party cookies, you can do the following:

• Allow third-party cookies for all websites

• Allow third-party cookies for Confluence specifically. In some browser you can add your Conflunece URL (e.g. example.atlassian.net/wiki) to an allowlist.
