Scroll Viewport Cloud 2021-07-01

We are pleased to announce the release of Scroll Viewport 2021-07-01 which is an improvement and bug fix release.

With this release, you can now give your users instant access to a token protected site by appending a valid token as a query parameter to the URL.

In this release we have also improved support for Confluence macros and editor features, fixed known bugs in the help center theme and extended the context picker functionality within the theme editor.

Highlights

Give your users instant access to your private site

If you have set up authentication for your Viewport site, you can now take any existing token and add it as a query parameter to any URL of your Viewport site. Appending the token to the URL will skip the login page and allow your users to access the content right away.

To give instant access, append ?t=mytoken to the end of your Viewport URL. Replace mytoken with a token in your token list. Example:

docs.mycompany.com/contentsource/1234567.html?t=f76838rw

Using the token in the URL can be helpful in many contexts, for example, if your support team shares documentation articles regularly with your customers and wants to avoid making them go through the login process each time.

Extended support for Confluence macros and editor features

You can now further enhance the content on your help articles:

  • When you add a hyperlink to an image using the Confluence editor, the link will now also work on the images in your Viewport site.

  • Tables can now be sorted on your Viewport site the same way you can sort them in Confluence

Don’t forget to update your site to see the improved output on your live site.

Preview all pages of your site using our improved Theme Editor Preview

You can now preview all pages of your Viewport site, no matter what template setting you have selected in the sidebar. Use the context switcher on the top of the theme editor, to jump to any page of your help center.

Want to preview pages that are not part of your site yet? Use the Article Preview on the Confluence page to check if the content displays the way you expect.
