Adding images to use within the theme editor

By default, the site logo used for your help center will be the space logo of the first content source (space) that you select. This works well if you are only using one content source.

For the footer logo, hero and portal background image, as well as other any images, default Scroll Viewport images will be used, which you will want to change to suit your brand.

To change any of these images, you need to upload the images as attachments within the space overview section of any of the content sources you’re using for your help center.

To add new images to use within the theme editor:

  • Enter the overview section of any of the spaces you’re using as a content source on your site.

  • Click on the ‘…’ menu, then click ‘Attachments’.

  • Upload the image that you want to use within the theme editor here.

  • Then when you re-enter the theme editor, you will see your image available to select within the dropdown menu for the asset you’re editing.

The space logo for the content sources you are using must also be changed within Confluence.

To be able to change the space logo, you need space admin permissions. Then when you go into Space Settings for the space you want to change the image for, you will see an ‘edit’ button next to the space logo.

Once you have changed the space icon here, the new image will be reflected within Scroll Viewport.

Favicon

Add a favicon for your help center so users can easily recognize it in their browser. A favicon is typically displayed in the browser's address bar or in bookmark lists (next to the website name).

Using custom images: Attach custom images to the overview page of your content spaces to select them in the theme editor.

You will find the favicon option in the theme editor.
