No create version permissions

Symptoms

An issue does not get synchronized and appears in the troubleshooting section with the category 'No create version permissions' and the message, e.g. 'Project with key 'TEST' either does not exist or you do not have permission to create versions in it'.

Cause

A version was set to the issue in the sender project which does not exist in the receiving project. This can be due to an invalid mapping configuration in Backbone or missing project administration rights for the synchronization user.

Resolution

You can choose between the desired solutions:

• Add the synchronization user as project administrator, this enables backbone to automatically add the versions.
• Select another field mapping for the versions field. Either
  • the Passthrough Mapping with disabled version creation
  • or the Versions Field Value Mapping where you map the different project versions.
